MY BIG SECRET

I have a secret. I don't think anybody knows, but I have always wanted to write. I don't mean books or articles, but just little ditty's here and there about how I feel about what is going on in my life. It is almost like a diary. I used to write in a diary, but then my younger sister found out where I hid it and I stopped writing in it.

I process information in my head by telling a story about what has happened and how I think it will end. This is my way of sorting things out.

I got my idea to start blogging from Bruce's uncle George, whom, although we are only related by marriage, I consider my uncle as well as my inspiration for writing. I anxiously await every new post from uncle George to his blog. He is a seasoned writer and very good at it. Oh, to have that talent. Although, I would love to be able to one day write to that calibre, I will continue to post to my blog, now that I have started writing.

New Format to my blog

I have changed the format of my blog. Originally I set it up to help promote my friends online scrap booking busines. She is no longer doing that and I hadn't posted to my blog in over a year.

Now I want to write about the day to day (or week to week) happenings of our life. It may not be that exciting to others, but it is a legacy I want to leave for my children, along with the scrapbooks I love to create.

It's been a while

It's been a while since I have posted to this blog. In all honesty I forgot that I had it. It wasn't until my father in law asked me for some photos of the kids that I remembered itl. I am good at promising to send photos to him and bad at actually doing it. So, Brian, I am posting a BUNCH of pictures here for you.

Enjoy!!!

Technology mmm

I used to think technology was supposed to make our lives easier. NOT. The amount of time I have spent this last week dealing with "technical difficulties" I proably could have scrapped a whole album. Anyhow it looks like I am back up and running. I still have some stuff to add, but I will do that later today or early in the week. Anyhow, check back soon and I will add some photos.

For those that are confused... I am still part of the design team until the end of the month. Check back next Friday to see the latest posts.

Happy Holiday Monday

Bad blogger & birds

I have been a bad blogger. I have two friends who have blogs that I go to almost daily to see what wonderful stories they have written. I haven't been to my blog in..... over two months. I really am a bad blogger. I love havign a blog and love reading others. I am going to make a concentrated effort to update my blog a little more frequently.
So on that note here is my latest design team challenge for week 68. It is all about the birds this week. This is a picture of the kids at Seaworld in San Diego holding baby chicks that were born that morning, probably about 3-4 hours before the picture was taken.
We just happened to be in the right place at the right time (we were actually in the wrong place to see the show we wanted). I love that my children receive as much joy from holding baby chicks for a few minutes as they did seeing a whale show (which we did eventually see later and it was really good). My point is they weren't the least bit disappointed that we missed it the first time, because we had this wonderful experience that many park goers would have had.
Enjoy the photo and check back soon. I will blog again.
Cheers
Sallie

my latest design team layout pages

These are my favorite pages to date. I know I say that everytime, but I really like them. I love the one of Gillian on her own. Although the day I finished it she was NOT "my angel" I could have put horns on the photo and it would have been appropriate that day. Anyhow, even on a bad day she will always be my little angel.

I am getting my mojo back for scrapping after my long christmas break. I will post more layouts when they are done.

Have a great Saturday!!!
